Resolution: Open Dreamweaver. In the remote info section, Host Directory, be sure to enter /UserName/ . This has solved problem for other clients in the past using "non-standard" FTP programs. For some reason, some ftp programs do not allow the server to place them into the correct remote directory when they log in. The server allows the connection to the root through the ip address assigned to the client. The server is supposed to then automatically place the client into their appropriate directory once they successfully log in, but this is evidently not supported on all clients.
